some backstory (rough outline)
She’s getting close to 19 so she’s been a magical girl for less than a year/still pretty green. When Oriana became a magical girl, the whole thing felt very gender affirming for her and she was happy and took on the obligation gladly. She has a supportive and loving family, and mainly her struggle is that she has always been good at everything, but she struggles at first as a magical girl. She’s by no means bad at it, but she’s average for the most part, sometimes even a little slower to learn in some things. She grapples with understanding you can’t be good at everything!! And that you don’t need to be in order to be a successful or strong person obviously she does eventually get stronger but she’s a perfectionist who needs to be good at things immediately.
She vents to her sister who gets annoyed with her, as she has always gotten compared to her older sister in terms of things like grades and talents. Oriana feels bad that she has overshadowed her sister. The two talk while Oriana does her hair and her sister agrees to help her train (as she is a skilled dancer) and Oriana promises to advocate for celebrating her sister more.
